Alligator Alley

Next, we went to a really cool place called Alligator Alley. We arrived just on time as the trainer was feeding the alligators. It got pretty wild!! One even started sneaking behind him in the bushes to get some chicken.

Captin Crunch is his name and killing is his game!! He has killed 4 other alligators and eaten his fair share of neighborhood dogs.

We thought we were done, but we weren’t. He then asked us if we wanted to hold an alligator. I didn’t believe him, but we did. This alligator was 2 years old and about 3' long. I held it and that was fine, but then I started singing to him and he didn’t like it so he hissed at me for like 10 seconds. Holy cow that was so scary and I couldn’t drop him even though I was very tempted too!! Janae pet him, but Logan wanted no part in it.

Some cute pictures in the car on our way to a surprise destination!! Logan was sick and tired of me telling him to say “Cheese” and “Smile” so this is what I got. Janae is definitely not camera shy.

Dinner Cruise

So Kelly, so thoughtfully picked for us to go on a dinner cruise. I thought it would be awesome, but then I started questioning it when there was no one else under 55. Eventually 2 other couples came that were a bit younger, but the night turned out AMAZING. On the top deck there was a guy who played the piano and sang. For dinner we had some real southern cooking. It was super good!! Then we went back up on the top deck and danced. Adam and I slow danced to a song, then right after that was a faster song came on and Logan said, “Mommy dance with me, please.” How could I resist. Even though it was just Logan and I dancing we did it and it was so worth it. And of course what would a party be without the Electric Slide? So Kelly pulled me up there and we dance away to that song too. Right before we got off it started to rain again. I think we are bad luck because it rains everywhere we go!!

It was so beautiful out there and so relaxing. It was probably the best thing we had done so far! We sure did cram a lot into one day, but it was the BEST day EVER!!

New Orleans

It was very sad to see what Katrina had done to some of the buildings. So much of the buildings were vacant and boarded up.

We went downtown and checked out Bourbon Street. Adam's brother Daniel and his wife Jessica came to spend the day with us. There was a lot of people and it was very humid and smelly but it was cool.

We found a great restaurant to eat at. Adam and I tried fried Alligator and surprisingly it was very tasty.

Then we decided to take a carriage ride around the town, but just as we arrived to the carriage it started to rain. Then, it started to pour!! Like 30 minutes go by and it is not letting up and the streets are flooding and we are like 6 blocks away from our car. There is no way I am budging. My hair was starting to get all wet and it is just a mess. Luckily our driver knows that in New Orleans it rains and he was well prepared with two umbrellas, one of which he gives me so I don’t look like a drenched rat on our way home and I can protect Janae from the rain. Even though it was great fun sitting in the rain we were running out of time and needed to get to the airport, so Raul took an umbrella and headed to get the car in the rain. Needless to say he got soaked, but we make it out of there!

Home Sweet Home

This was the best plane ride we got the last 2 rows all to ourselves so we could spread out.
After a week full of fun and great weather we go back home to desert.

I was able to capture some beautiful pictures of the clouds and the sky.

Ummm...I LIKE ORANGES

Logan gets in moods where he puts things in a line. I gave Logan an orange and he wanted to peal it and this is what happened. Adam and I thought is was funny so we would mess up the line of oranges he made and then he would quietly fix it. He made a big wet, sticky mess with the orange, but ate the whole thing and then wanted another one! He is a great eater!

Simply Irresistible

So I hear Janae crying and I walk in her room to see this, big crocodile tears. Super cute, huh!!
Then I ran to get my camera so I could take some pictures and at first she was fine with me taking pictures, but then after about the 8th one...

Her life was over, she couldn't handle to publicity anymore so she broke down.Wow, it is so darn cute when she cries, her lip puckers out and man it's just so kissable!!
